Kat Von D Tattoo lock it foundation

Hi guys, this review is going to be on the Kat Von D Tattoo lock it foundation in shade Light 42 (yes, I know how ghostly pale I am).

This is a full coverage foundation which is an EXTREMELY ACCURATE DESCRIPTION. It hides any red marks and dark circles, which is amazing when you have to be awake at 6 am and had very little sleep.

The Pros

  • It is very full coverage and will last around 8 hours. However, you need to use a primer or it will separate.
  • A little goes a long way, I only need one pump to cover my face

The cons

  • It dries almost too quickly, to the point when you don’t have time to use a cream powder or cream contour products
  • It will separate around your nose after a few hours if you don’t have a primer and I don’t even have oily skin.

Overall, I do like this foundation however, you need to use a good primer in order for it to stay put all day. Overall, I would re-purchase this item as you only need very little to cover your face and as you can see from my before and after pictures it makes and extremely big difference.

Jeffree Star Cosmetics Velvour Liquid Lipsticks Review

Hi guys, this review is going to be on the Jeffree Star Velvour liquid lipsticks (liquid to matte’s).

image

These liquid lipsticks currently retail in the UK for £14 however, I have ordered from is American site and I believe they are $18 and international shipping is around $10 I believe. I currently own 2 of these liquid lipsticks and I am awaiting delivery on a few more of them. So, I shall be reviewing the two shades I currently own.

1 – Prom Night

image

This is correctly described as the “brightest pink lipstick in the world” heck, I’d describe it as the brightest pink lipstick in the universe!. It’s a flattering shade of neon pink which is suitable for all skin tones (being someone who has used it on a variety of other people’s skin tones), it looks beautiful with a basic winged liner paired with lashings of mascara.

2- Unicorn Blood

image

Unicorn blood I would describe as a dark brown based red which is beautiful for winter. However, when I originally purchased this I expected it to be a little more red based than brown but, that was my mistake. It’s still a beautiful colour that pairs beautifully with a dress and thick tights.

The forumla

This liquid to matte lipstick has a very creamy texture and doesn’t seem to dry out your lips in comparison to other brands. What I also love about the formula of these liquid lipsticks is that they don’t dry instantly, they dry after around the 2-3 minute mark.  This isn’t a bad thing as some may think, by it not drying instantly it gives you time to rectify any smugess before it dries. As after it dries, good luck getting that stuff off without srubbing a bit with a make up remover.

Once this has fully dried, this stuff isn’t going anywhere!. I’ve had the lipstick on for 10 hours without the need to re apply in the past however, avoid anything with oils (such as KFC) as it does tend to bring it off a bit in the central of the lip.

I’d also like too add you don’t need to wear any lip liner with these and they don’t tend to bleed in comparison with other liquid lipsticks. Another plus is these are also eye safe (as mentioned by Jeffree Stat in one of his videos so that’s another huge plus.

Overall, I am so impressed with these liquid lipsticks as they honestly stay on and they are prefect for a night out. Me, personally being a little extreme with their make-up, I wear these on a daily basis while at university as I can’t be dealing with the need to reapply a lipstick while rushing about to and from classes.
